Children of Blood and Bone is a fantastic YA book and considering it is a debut book, even more impressive. This book has characters that are easy to cheer for but more importantly, for me at least, it has a character that I absolutely despise. This character’s actions and motivations make complete sense within the context of the story. Not many authors can make me understand a rotten character, make me hate that character, but want more of that character. Robin Hobb is one of them and now Tomi Adeyemi is another. Can’t wait for the sequel.
