Favorite stories in order from my favorite on down:
“The Secret Life of Bots” by Suzanne Palmer – Probably my favorite story about worker bots on a ship saving everyone.
“Bonding with Morry” by Tom Purdom – A caretaker robot is one of my favorite type of stories.
“Möbius Continuum” by Gu Shi, translated by S. Qiouyi Lu – I just really like these ingenious type of stories.
“Warmth” by Geoff Ryman – Another caretaker robot story, only this time it’s a nanny.
“Pan-Humanism: Hope and Pragmatics” by Jess Barber and Sara Saab – Love across decades for two scientists changing the world.
“Little /^^^\&-” by Eric Schwitzgebel – Fun story about God-like beings
“Antarctic Birds” by A. Brym – This story about an aviary and modified humans/animals didn’t work for me.
“Artificial Wombs and Control of Reproductive Technology” by Stephanie M. Bucklin – Wow, I didn’t realize this technology was at this state at all.
“Occult Agencies and Political Satire: A Conversation with Charles Stross” by Chris Urie – Didn’t read as I didn’t want to get any spoilers for the series.
“Another Word: The Dream of Writing Full Time” by Kelly Robson – A healthy look at what full-time writing really entails and how it might not be for everyone.I thought this was a good issue overall. I wasn’t blown away by any of the stories really but they were solid. Better than last month’s issue.
